This article explains how to install pachyderm on your computer. First, make sure your computer meets the following minimum requirements:

  • Windows XP SP2
  • .Net Framework 2.0 - 4.5 installed
  • Rhinoceros v.5.0 later

Rhinoceros:

Then, perform the following steps:

  1. Download the pachyderm plugin.
  2. Move all files in the "For Rhinoceros" folder from the compressed archive to some location on your hard drive where they will not need to be moved again. We suggest making a folder in your 'Program Files' directory for all the files in the plugin.
  3. Start the Rhinoceros 5.0 program.
  4. Drag the .rhp file from the location used in step2 to your open Rhinoceros program window.

Grasshopper:

  1. First install the Rhinoceros plugin as described above. This is important, as the grasshopper plugin communicates with the Rhinoceros plugin.
  2. Move all files in the "For Grasshopper" folder from the compressed archive to your grasshopper library folder. This is usually a path similar to:

C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries

It can be located by clicking the grasshopper menu item : File => Special Folders => Components Folder
